On Thursday 14th May and Friday 15th May, we will be carrying out planned maintenance to our VPS platform as part of a migration to a new data centre.

This work is required as the current data centre hosting the VPS platform is closing down, and services are being migrated to a new facility.

As part of this migration, all VPS services will be able to benefit from:

    • A doubling in network connectivity speed

    • Significantly improved DDoS protection

    • Enhanced fire suppression, physical security, and power infrastructure within the new data centre

    • Each VPS cluster will maintain a mirrored replica within a separate data centre to further enhance resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.

To minimise disruption, the migration will take place in two stages:

    *Thursday 14th May - 8:00pm*

At 8:00pm on Thursday evening, all VPS instances will be failed over to mirrored clustered systems located within the new data centre.

    As part of this process:

    • Each VPS will require a shutdown and restart

    • The associated IP subnet will be migrated directly onto our network within the new data centre

    • Service interruption is expected during the migration window

We expect this work to be completed within one hour, although we aim to restore services sooner wherever possible.

    *Friday 15th May - 8:00pm*

On Friday, the original physical host servers will be relocated from the old data centre to the new facility.

Once this has been completed, we will fail services back to the original host servers at approximately 8:00pm.

This process will again require a restart of each VPS, with an expected interruption of approximately five minutes.

During this entire maintenance window, customers will not be able to manage their VPS services through the Control Panel. Any requests will need to be handled manually by our Support team.

We appreciate your patience and understanding whilst these essential works are carried out. If you have any questions regarding this maintenance, please contact our support team.
